Russia – Africa summit ended in Sochi
The Russia – Africa Summit and Economic forum took place in Sochi on October 23-24. The forum was attended by about 10 thousand people, which were represented by 54 countries of the African continent.
The delegation of RAO Rosneftegazstroy and its subsidiary RNGS - Africa took part in the business program of the economic forum on the sidelines of the Russia – Africa summit.
The joint delegation of both companies was headed by Vice-President of RNGS – Africa Avdel Majid Algam Ahmad.
Members of the delegation met with representatives of the authorities and business circles of Nigeria, Libya, Egypt, as well as a number of financial and investment companies.
During the meeting, the prospects of cooperation and participation of RAO Rosneftegazstroy in projects in Africa were discussed.
The delegation attended the plenary session with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, as well as took part in a number of panel sections, "Transport infrastructure on the African continent. Prospects for joint projects", "Doing business in Africa: opportunities, conditions, risks", "Business Association of Russia and Africa".
An important event of the economic forum for the delegation of "RAO Rosneftegazstroy" and "RNGS-Africa" was the working meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with Nigerian President M. Buhari on expanding cooperation in the energy sector. The meeting was attended by Minister of energy of the Russian Federation A. Novak and Minister of oil of Nigeria T. Silva.
Participation of "RNGS-Africa" in the implementation of projects announced by the state authorities of Nigeria is a strategic decision of "RAO Rosneftegazstroy".
The Russia-Africa economic forum has become a significant event within the framework of creating favorable conditions for the development of trade and economic relations between Russia and African countries, as well as diversifying the formats and directions of Russian-African cooperation.
